JavaScript SDK - Facebook Developers

JavaScript SDK - Facebook Developers: "Authentication & Authorization

The Facebook JavaScript SDK allows your users to register and sign-in to your site using their Facebook accounts. This is done by sharing the logged in user state between https://www.facebook.com/ and your site. A Facebook user remains logged in to your site as long as they are logged in to Facebook and there is a valid access token for your app.

This means you do not need to create your own registration flow and your user's do not have to create new profiles or remember a new username. Best of all, you also get to access the user's social graph -- allowing you to create a great customized, social experience as well as the ability to publish user actions back to Facebook."

Like Button - Facebook Developers

Like Button - Facebook Developers: "When your Web page represents a real-world entity, things like movies, sports teams, celebrities, and restaurants, use the Open Graph protocol to specify information about the entity. If you include Open Graph tags on your Web page, your page becomes equivalent to a Facebook page. This means when a user clicks a Like button on your page, a connection is made between your page and the user. Your page will appear in the "Likes and Interests" section of the user's profile, and you have the ability to publish updates to the user. Your page will show up in same places that Facebook pages show up around the site (e.g. search), and you can target ads to people who like your content."

Self-Gifting : Pajamas and Coffee

Self-Gifting : Pajamas and Coffee: " I have a ‘Mommy Porch‘ where I spend Mother’s Day every year.
This year I also bought my own orange gerbera daisies (favorite flower), my own cake (banana with chocolate icing, for the kids to make me) and my own gift (a much-needed new digital camera).
For my birthday coming up on the 21st, I scheduled a day at the spa.
I explained to my husband that he didn’t need to buy me anything for Mother’s Day or my birthday this month, because I already had it covered."

Harnessing Entrepreneurial Manic-Depression: Making the Rollercoaster Work for You

Harnessing Entrepreneurial Manic-Depression: Making the Rollercoaster Work for You: "The sky is falling!

Ever since the media’s Chicken Little response to the tremors in the financial markets, I’ve felt like shouting from the rooftops “now you know how it feels to be an entrepreneur!”

I just lost 9% overnight?! Fill a bathtub and get the toaster. I’ve had enough.
Wait… I actually gained 13% while in the bathroom? I’m f**king Superman!

This is a guest post on capitalizing on — vs. countering — the “entrepreneur’s disease” (manic depression) through 4 cyclical stages. This is done by pairing appropriate activities to specific — though not necessarily positive — emotional states…"

Amazon.com: Nikon D90 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only): Camera & Photo

Amazon.com: Nikon D90 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only): Camera & Photo: "Nikon D90: Highly recommended by dpreview.com
We described the D80 as a photographer's camera and, despite the addition of video, the D90 appears to share that same ethos. On a purely specification level, it's a highly competitive piece of kit, but it's the way the features have been chosen and put together that make it the camera that it is.

The D90 viewfinder is amongst the best you'll find on any APS-C camera and it sits above the highest-resolution screen we've yet seen on a camera of this class. The buttons are well chosen and sensibly positioned, and the two-dial interface is a pleasure to use. (Buyers coming from other systems can even reverse the operation of the meter and dials to make everything that bit more familiar). "

Killing AppleVNCServer with an...: Apple Support Communities

Killing AppleVNCServer with an...: Apple Support Communities: "habit of hanging every few days in between sessions. Sometimes if I'm lucky I can get in with logmein and kill the process, but logmein is really flaky from my connection at work for some reason so I can't rely on it. I want to set up a folder within Dropbox using folder actions that will run a script when I drop a file in it. I then want that script to kill the AppleVNCServer process.

I found this (http://macstuff.beachdogs.org/blog/?p=31) which looks like it should pretty much do what I want. I changed "Finder" in his example to "AppleVNCServer". It seems to identify the process ID (209), but won't kill it. I get the following message:
error "sh: line 0: kill: 65
209: arguments must be process or job IDs" number 1"

AharonMoshe's Channel - YouTube

AharonMoshe's Channel - YouTube: " poetry on parade here on Youtube. I teach it with no pressure or homework, testing or requirement. I am trying to spread what I do to other teachers. This little boy is amazing. My students learn as a group and then do individual poems later. His cadence, inflection and joy, though, is generally way more powerful than what my 8 year olds do."
