Leah
Leah: "My name is Tom and I am guest blogging for Leah.
At the time of my writing this, Leah has been in surgery 49 minutes. This is the 5th open heart surgery for the Wee Princess, the first aortic valve replacement, previous surgeries were for the mitral valve. This young, vibrant beautiful soul has had a tough time. The last nine years have been unfair, yet I have never once heard her say, 'poor me' Leah has been critically ill before, and has stared death in the face too many times to count, yet each and every time she has fought her way back to family and friends who love her. I believe in my heart that G-d has a plan for this young woman. I pray that she will have many more years to touch hearts and minds with her humor and generosity.."

9/11/2001- The Writers' Cafe: "Today too many of us live life like the flock. There is no sharing in the flock, and constant pushing and shoving. From the little research I have already done on Chekhov, he was greatly concerned about the rights of man, as mentioned in The Seagull.
My personal belief is that there is no shortage of wealth in this nation, as well as in the world. Political theorists would have us believe that the economy of our country has taken a major downturn simply because perhaps a handful of the wealthiest have lost a few poorly placed bets on the great economic roulette wheel of “high tech stocks”.
Our nation’s leader would now have you believe the same “voodoo economy” nonsense that his party predecessors have promoted. Many armchair critics have already sited the president’s agenda as nothing short of class war. I suppose I could go on with this thread but do not want alienate too many of my potential readers. One might wonder how Chekhov might have discussed the problems that plagued his country in his day…"

One Frum Skeptic: "But today, we both took wings, cuz our families (mostly my super hungry sister) expect them. And then we went for a walk around coney island/astro land, where we had way to much fun playing arcade games for tickets. My friend won 101 tickets at the deal/no deal game so we got my sister a cute little stuffed doggy, and dice for my friends car.
Then we decided to play the water gun game. We played like 3 times to trade up to a penguin. My best friend is OBSESSED with penguins. So, yay!! she got a penguin.
And then we went to 7-11, got slurpees and scratch lotto tickets. :-D
